Battery Park Marina

Located under the John Gorrie Bridge in the heart of historic downtown Apalachicola, the Battery Park Marina boasts a six-lane boat ramp open for public use with direct access to both the Apalachicola Bay and the Apalachicola River. Click here to view full marina rules and regulations.

Franklin County Residents may launch their vessels free of charge year-round and must display an identifying Resident Launch Decal on their vehicle which can be obtained free of charge at City Hall with verification of residency.

Non-Franklin County Residents must purchase a daily launch pass from the VenTek kiosk located next to the launch ramps and display it on the dashboard of their vehicle, or display a Non-Resident Launch Decal on their vehicle which can be obtained from City Hall.

LAUNCH DECALS EXPIRE EVERY YEAR ON SEPTEMBER 30

Self-contained Recreational Vehicles may camp overnight in designated areas of Battery Park Marina and must purchase an overnight pass from the VenTek kiosk located next to the launch ramps and display it on their dashboard.

Franklin County Resident - Free
Non-Franklin County Resident (Daily Rate) - $10
Non-Franklin County Resident (Annual) - $125
Franklin County Charter Captain (Annual) - $75
Non-Franklin County Captain (Annual) - $150

RV Fees

Overnight Camping Fee - $50/night with a two night maximum.

Accepted Proof of Residency

Primary proof:

  • Franklin County Driver License or ID Card (with Franklin County address and residency verified by the Florida DHSMV)

Alternate proof (may be used only by Florida residents who do not have a Florida Driver License or ID Card):

  • Current Franklin County voter registration information card
  • Franklin County homestead exemption
