Two Monumental Ribbon Cuttings
The Franklin County Board of County Commissioners and the Franklin County TDC invite everyone to two monumental ribbon cuttings on Wednesday, August 5th.
The first will take place at 8:15 AM at the newly renovated Fort Coombs Armory. Come see the incredible transformation of this historic building! The ribbon cutting will occur before the August 5th County Commission meeting, which begins at 9:00 AM. Coffee and pastries will be served.
The second ribbon cutting at 2:00 PM celebrates the Grand Opening of the Franklin County Maritime Heritage Museum at 441 Hwy 98 in Apalachicola. This ever-growing museum will continue to evolve. Made possible by grants from FDEP and the Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources, and the Franklin County TDC, the museum is seeking additional artifacts that represent the rich maritime heritage of Franklin County. Be sure to see the two replica Lighthouses on the museum’s back lawn, representing all of Franklin County.
