Public Notice to Residents
To help maintain a safe, healthy, and beautiful community and to ensure properties are kept in compliance, residents are reminded to review all applicable City Code Ordinances on the city website before beginning any construction projects, tree removal, fence installation, exterior property improvements, or changes that may affect property boundaries.
Residents are also reminded of their ongoing responsibility to properly maintain their property. This includes keeping lots free of trash, debris, junk, and other discarded materials; ensuring that inoperable, unregistered, or abandoned vehicles are not stored on the property; and preventing conditions that may create safety hazards, attract pests, or negatively impact neighboring properties. Regular upkeep helps protect property values and preserves the appearance and character of our community.
Ensuring compliance prior to starting work and maintaining your property in accordance with City Code can help you avoid potential violations, penalties, or costly corrective actions.
Our shared goal is to preserve the safety, character, and well-being of the City of Apalachicola. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to keeping our community strong.
For questions regarding permits, property regulations, property maintenance requirements, or code compliance, please contact the appropriate City office before beginning your project or if you have concerns about your property.
