National Volunteer Week

April 21-27, 2024, is National Volunteer Week: Celebrate Service. This week a spotlight is placed on our community of inspiring figures. How are they inspiring? They give of themselves by sowing seeds of kindness through volunteering for the benefit of the community they live and work in.

“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in”.

Friday April 27, 2024, was the day set aside to celebrate you, the great volunteers of the City of Apalachicola. Due to an unfortunate accident of City Manager Wade, “Celebrate You”, will be postponed to another date-TBD.

On behalf of the Commissioners, City Manager, and Staff, thank you for your generosity and kindness.

Respectfully,
Mayor Brenda Ash
