City of Apalachicola Emergency Services Update
The City of Apalachicola will continue to offer potable water, laundry and shower facilities, and ice until further notice. The Declaration of Local State Emergency is in effect until Friday, June 27th, 2025 at 6:15pm. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all community agencies, organizations, and businesses that have assisted in our time of need.
Potable Water Services:
Water tanker services will continue to operate at the following locations. Bring vessels and containers to hold your water. These resources are available for personal or commercial usage.
- Commercial District: Under the bridge
- Residential District: 192 Coach Wagoner Blvd
- Greater Apalachicola: Weems Memorial Hospital (Begins Wednesday morning June 25th)
Ice Distribution Site - Leavins Seafood
Bags of ice will continue to be available for personal or commercial usage beginning at 9am. City personnel will be on site to provide service. If there is not a city employee on site, call City Hall at (850)653-9319 and one will be sent promptly.
Shower & Laundry Services:
A shower trailer and laundry trailer will be available at 192 Coach Wagoner Blvd. These facilities will be open 24 hours a day, with security provided.
Please Note:
- You are responsible for bringing your own laundry supplies and toiletries.
- For your safety, we strongly recommend wearing shower or water shoes.
- Please do not leave small children unattended.
Bottled Water Distribution Sites:
There are four designated water distribution locations:
- Holy Family (ECCC) – Wednesday, June 25th from 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Commerce Gardens (behind Chamber of Commerce) – Wednesday, June 25th beginning at 10:30am
- Living Waters Assembly of God – Thursday, June 26th beginning at 6:00pm
- Willis ACE Hardware – Friday, June 27th from 9:00am – 3:00pm
